We began the 1050 mile marathon at John o' Groats on Thursday 26 August 2010, aiming to complete the journey in less than four weeks. Indeed, we finished at Lands End on Friday 17th September - despite some extremely wet weather, mechanical problems and  physical issues along the way.

Previous Charity Rides

Mark with his 'Dawes Atlantis' bike in 1981, back in uniform after cycling more than 3,000 miles in 30 days from San Francisco to New York, solo and unsupported for the Police Dependants' Trust.
And at Machu Picchu, Peru in 1988 with the first Raleigh bespoke mountain bike, after cycling from Lima through the Andes and to the legendary 'Lost City of the Incas' for Save the Children.
